When I think we need to

go further

The Sleep Clarity Call allows me to form my initial assessment, identify what I think matters and decide what I would recommend.

When I recommend Baby Sleep Support, it is because I think we need the deeper assessment required to develop your comprehensive Family Sleep Strategy, followed by support while you implement it. Seeing how your baby responds gives me more information to work with, so I can guide you through the changes and adjust my recommendations where needed.

How Baby Sleep Support works

01

Deeper intake and assessment

You’ll complete a comprehensive intake covering your baby’s sleep history and the areas I need to assess in more detail. I’ll review this information before developing your Family Sleep Strategy.

02

Comprehensive Family Sleep Strategy

I’ll develop your written Family Sleep Strategy based on what I find through the deeper assessment, with my recommendations for your baby and how I would approach their sleep.

03

60 minute strategy consultation

Once you’ve read your strategy, we’ll meet for 60 minutes on Google Meet to work through it step by step, answer your questions and make any final adjustments before you begin.

04

Seven days of Guided Implementation Support

Once you begin implementing the strategy, I’ll support you through two 20 minute follow-up consultations over seven days. Before each follow-up, I’ll review your baby’s sleep logs and progress so we can work through how your baby is responding, any questions or implementation difficulties, and whether I recommend continuing with the strategy as it is or making an adjustment.

FAMILY SLEEP STRATEGY

A complete plan for what I would change and why

Your Family Sleep Strategy brings together what I find through the deeper assessment and sets out how I would approach your baby’s sleep.

Depending on what is relevant for your baby, this may include a recommended daily rhythm, feeding recommendations where appropriate, changes to the sleep environment, bedtime and nap guidance, settling strategies and how to respond to overnight waking. I’ll also cover situations I think you are likely to encounter as you make the changes and include relevant resources where useful.

The strategy also explains what I’ve identified through my assessment and the reasoning behind my recommendations, so you can see what I recommend changing and why I think those changes matter for the sleep patterns I’m seeing.

Work through the strategy together before you begin

Once you’ve read your Family Sleep Strategy, we’ll meet for 60 minutes on Google Meet and work through it step by step. You can ask questions, and we’ll talk through how the recommendations apply in practice so you understand what I’m asking you to change and why.

We’ll also make any final adjustments that are appropriate before you begin implementing the strategy.

guided implementation support

What happens once you start making changes

Once you begin implementing your Family Sleep Strategy, your seven days of Guided Implementation Support begins. During this period, we’ll have two 20-minute follow-up consultations to review how your baby is responding and work through what is happening as you put the strategy into practice.

Before each follow-up, I’ll review your baby’s sleep logs and progress so I have the information I need to assess what has happened since you began making changes.

During the follow-up, we’ll work through what I’m seeing, any questions that have come up and anything you’ve found difficult to implement. I’ll clarify what I recommend you continue doing and what, if anything, I think needs to change. Where I think an adjustment is appropriate, I’ll explain what I would change and why.

common questions

A few things you may be wondering

Does Baby Sleep Support mean sleep training?

Sleep training is often part of the work I do with babies when independent settling is contributing to their sleep difficulties. I assess the other relevant factors affecting your baby’s sleep first, rather than expecting sleep training to compensate for something else that needs attention. If I recommend teaching independent settling, this can involve protesting or crying while your baby learns a new way of falling asleep.

What if my baby responds differently than expected?

That response gives me useful information. Before each follow-up consultation, I’ll review your baby’s sleep logs and progress so we can work through what is happening during the call. I’ll then recommend whether to continue with the strategy as it is or make an adjustment where I think one is appropriate.

Can I ask questions during the seven days of Guided Implementation Support?

Questions and implementation difficulties are worked through during your scheduled 20-minute follow-up consultations. There is no messaging or question support between consultations.

If something more urgent comes up, I may be able to bring your next scheduled follow-up forward where my availability allows. This is not always possible, but it gives us some flexibility with the timing of an existing consultation when needed.

I haven’t had a Sleep Clarity Call yet. Can I book Baby Sleep Support?

The Sleep Clarity Call comes first. I’ll assess your baby’s current sleep and recommend Baby Sleep Support if I think this level of planning and implementation support is appropriate. If you continue into Baby Sleep Support, the full $150 Sleep Clarity Call fee is credited towards the $650 package price.
