PREMIUM IN-HOME SUPPORT
Premium In-Home Support is for newborns and babies sleeping in a cot, where I think being in your home will be useful for assessing what is happening and working through settling in the environment where your baby actually sleeps.
Where I think it would be useful, I can demonstrate the settling approach with your baby first. You’ll then have the opportunity to practise it yourself while I observe your baby’s response, help you interpret what is happening and guide you through what I recommend you do next.

Premium In-Home Support has its own application process. You do not need to book a Sleep Clarity Call first. I’ll review your application and, if the service may be appropriate for your family, we’ll arrange a 15-minute suitability call before you proceed.

Before I arrive, I will already have assessed the information you have given me and developed your Family Sleep Strategy. Being in your home gives me another layer of information to work with.
I can see your baby’s actual sleep environment and what happens in the lead-up to sleep. Depending on what is relevant, that might include feeding, how long your baby has been awake, the cues they are showing, how you prepare them for sleep and what happens when you begin settling.
Then I can watch how your baby responds when you put the settling approach into practice. I’m not relying on you to remember every detail afterwards or trying to interpret the response from a description. I can see what you are seeing and guide you from there.
You’ll apply directly for Premium In-Home Support so I can determine whether the service may be appropriate for your baby and location. If it looks like a suitable option, we’ll have a 15-minute call before you proceed.
You’ll complete a comprehensive intake covering your baby’s sleep and the areas I need to assess in more detail. I’ll review this information and develop your written Family Sleep Strategy before I come to your home.
You can choose a two-hour Premium In-Home visit or a three-hour Extended In-Home visit. During the visit, I’ll observe the relevant context around sleep, demonstrate the settling approach where I think it would be useful, and coach you as you practise and implement it with your baby. If you’re unsure which visit duration to choose, we can discuss the difference during your suitability call.
After the visit, you’ll have seven days of follow-up with two 20-minute consultations. Before each one, I’ll review the relevant logs and progress so we can work through how your baby is responding, any questions or implementation difficulties, and whether I recommend adjusting anything.

FAMILY SLEEP STRATEGY
Your in-home visit does not begin with me walking through the door and deciding which settling approach to try. Before I arrive, I’ll have completed my assessment and developed your comprehensive written Family Sleep Strategy.
The strategy sets out what I think is contributing to your baby’s sleep and how I recommend approaching it. Depending on what is relevant for your baby, this may include their daily rhythm, feeding recommendations where appropriate, sleep environment, bedtime and nap guidance, settling strategies and how to respond to overnight waking.
The visit then gives me information I cannot get from the intake alone. I can see your baby, their environment and their response as you begin implementing the strategy. If what I observe gives me a reason to refine a recommendation afterwards, I can do that where I think it is appropriate.
THE IN-HOME VISIT
The standard Premium In-Home visit is two hours and costs $1,095. This is appropriate for most families. The three-hour Extended In-Home visit costs $1,345 and gives us a longer observation and implementation window if you would like more time or additional time may be useful. You can choose between the two options, and if you’re unsure, we can discuss the difference during your 15-minute suitability call and I can recommend which I think would be more useful based on your circumstances.
Visits are primarily scheduled during the day. A morning visit around your baby’s first nap will often give me a useful opportunity to see what happens before sleep, including feeding where relevant, awake time, sleep needs and the cues your baby is showing, the sleep environment, preparation for sleep and settling itself.
That will not be the right timing for every baby. If I think another sleep period will give me more useful information or a better opportunity to work through the settling I am recommending, I’ll arrange the visit around that instead.

SETTLING IN PRACTICE
Once we are ready to work on settling, I’ll explain the approach I’m recommending and how I want you to use it with your baby. Where I think it would be useful, I can demonstrate the approach first so you can see what I’m doing and how I’m responding to your baby in the moment.
With a newborn, that may mean demonstrating hands-on settling in the cot so you can see how I use support, respond to what your baby is communicating, when I continue helping, when I reduce assistance and when I give your baby more space.
You’ll then have the opportunity to practise the approach yourself while I’m there. I can observe how your baby responds, help you interpret what is happening, answer your questions and guide you through what I recommend you do next.
With an older baby, a demonstration may not be necessary. You may move directly into implementing the settling approach I have recommended, including check-ins or reassurance where appropriate, while I observe and coach you through it.
An important part of the visit is having the opportunity to put the approach into practice with your own baby in their usual sleep environment while I’m there to help you work through what happens.

common questions
Premium In-Home Support is for newborns and babies who are sleeping in a cot, where I think being physically present during implementation will be useful. Suitability depends on your baby, what is happening with their sleep and whether the in-home format is appropriate for the work I think needs to be done.
The application and 15-minute suitability call allow me to establish that before you proceed.
Where I think it would be useful, I can demonstrate the settling approach with your baby first. This can be particularly useful with newborns when I want to show you how I use hands-on support in the cot and respond to what your baby is doing.
The purpose is not for me to take over settling for you. After a demonstration where appropriate, you’ll have the opportunity to practise the approach yourself while I observe your baby’s response, answer your questions and coach you through what to do next. With an older baby, we may move directly into you implementing the settling strategy while I guide you.
The two-hour Premium In-Home visit is appropriate for most families. The three-hour Extended In-Home visit gives us a longer observation and implementation window if you would like more time or additional time may be useful.
You can choose between the two options. If you’re unsure, we can discuss the difference during your 15-minute suitability call and I can recommend which I think would be more useful based on your circumstances.
Visits are primarily scheduled during the day, and a morning visit around the first nap will often be useful because it allows me to see relevant context leading into sleep as well as the settling itself.
I do not automatically schedule every family around first nap. I’ll choose the timing based on what I think will be most useful to observe and the sleep period I think we should work through together.
You’ll have seven days of follow-up with two scheduled 20-minute consultations. You’ll maintain the relevant logs during this period, and I’ll review them and your progress in preparation for each follow-up.
During the calls, we’ll work through how your baby is responding, your questions and anything you have found difficult to implement. I’ll clarify what I recommend you continue doing and make adjustments where I think they are appropriate.
There is no messaging or question support between consultations. If something more urgent comes up, I may be able to bring your next scheduled follow-up forward where my availability allows. This is not always possible.
Travel within approximately one hour’s drive of Yamba is included in the package price. If you are further away, you can still apply and I’ll let you know whether I can travel to your location and provide a travel quote before you proceed.
Apply for Premium In-Home Support and I’ll review your application first. If I think the service may be appropriate for your family, we’ll arrange a 15-minute suitability call before you proceed.
